Kathlene “Kathy” Nunn, age 55, of Miles City passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City after a long battle with lung disease surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born on February 28, 1958 in Miles City, Montana, the daughter of Elton and Edna Meidinger. Kathy attended school in Miles City and later went back and obtained her GED in 2001. Kathy married Joel Nunn on April 28, 1979 and together they started their family whom she dedicated her life to. The family moved to Odessa, TX in 1986 where she cared for numerous foster children for ten years before moving back to Miles City in 1998. In 2001, Kathy received her CNA license and continued to care for others.
Kathy attended church as often as possible and loved attending bible study with friends. She was always ready for a game of cards, and also enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, reading and camping.
Kathy was most happy when she was with her family, and had a special place in her heart for her two grandsons.
She is survived by her mother, Edna Meidinger of Miles City, MT; four children, Jacob (Lindsey) Nunn of Miles City, MT, Jolene (Nathan) Taylor of Miles City, MT, Jeramy Nunn of Rapid City, SD and Zac Fandel of Miles City, MT; two grandchildren, Gavin and Jaxon; two sisters, Deb (Bill) Turner and Sandy Meidinger both of Miles City, MT and one niece, Cassandra Meidinger.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elton Meidinger; her stepfather, Harold Meidinger and ex-husband, Joel Nunn.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Stevenson and Sons Chapel in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Cluster County Cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
