Katie Hunsel, age 102, of Circle, Montana passed away Monday, November 19, 2007 at the McCone County Nursing Home in Circle.

Cathern (Katie) Hoeser Hunsel was born on November 1, 1905 at Loyal, Wisconsin, daughter of George and Barbra Goetz Hoeser.Katie moved to Montana early in her adult life where she worked at the Gladstone Hotel for many years, then as a waitress for many years. She married Edgar Hunsel on November 27, 1943 and became a housewife for the remainder of her active years. After almost forty-two years of marriage, Edgar died August 26, 1985. Katie continued living in their home for many years. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards and bowling. Katies extended family was special to her, with two and sometimes three generations of young people to keep her active and loved.

Proceeding her in death are her parents, husband, six sisters and three brothers: Rose (Joe) Schuld; Bertha (Joe) Breitbach; Anna (Vitalis) Dougherty; Mary (John) Breitbach; Tress (Harold) Wangen; Sophie Hoeser and Otto, Joe and Frank Hoeser.Katie is survived by one brother, Leon Hoeser of Loyal, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, November 26, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Circle with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Circle with interment following at Riverview Cemetery.
