Kayla Mae Miller passed away on Friday, November 10th, 2023. She was born December 26th, 1987, in Miles City, MT to Mary (Fabert) and Roger Miller. Growing up she was always surrounded by friends. Never shy and always ready for a fashion shoot. Kayla and her friends were never afraid to have a sleepover or give her brother Shane a makeover.
She was a lover of animals, plants, and people. A day would not go by without a snapchat of her snuggling her cat Zeus or dog Rivet. Kayla loved her garden and fresh strawberries in the morning with her coffee. Family was important to her. She was close to many but had a special relationship with her aunts Denise and Penny. Kayla was very close with her mother and will always be her baby girl, her confidant, her best friend. They talked every night about plans for the future and news in the family. She loved her siblings fiercely. Evan and Connor were always her babies. Shane, a best friend, and copilot in her childhood years. Her cousin Jess was a sister as were so many of her friends, sisters that will miss her immensely. She could light up a room with her smile and had a presence that radiated. Loved by so many and loved them in return.
Her stepson Gabe and her husband Chris were her world. She was the sun that they revolved around. She was the light in the room that we naturally leaned on too, the warmth we needed to grow, the center we needed to flourish. Kayla was special and there are no words to accurately describe it.
She was preceded in death by her very special Grandma Gail, her Aunt Norma, Aunt Denise, and her best friend Nikki.
Kayla is survived by her mother, Mary Miller; stepfather Bill Kuester; and father Roger Miller all of Miles City; brothers Shane, Connor, and Evan; husband Chris Haight; stepson Gabe; and mother-in-law Becky; aunt Penny; and cousin Jess. Her fur babies Ricky, Zeus, Rivet, and her many friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Following the memorial service, a potluck reception will be held at Parker’s Bar in Miles City.

Kayla and I lived close to eachother for a while. We would meet up with a group of friends and walk to school together. When I first moved here she was one of the first ones to be kind and welcome me into her group of friends, she had so many. It was impossible not to be drawn to her glowing spirit, and infectious smile. I’ll always lovingly remember those early days. We are sending prayers of strength up for all of Kayla’s family and friends.

Websters dictionary does not have enough words to describe Kayla but I can say for sure that any that exist fall short in depicting her magic. I loved her as a co-worker, my steadfast friend and confidante and my super power when my son Mason passed. She laughed with me, at times cried with me, and at all times and on all occasions left me in awe of the beautiful gift of her friendship. She and Mason shared December 26th as their birthday. This year I hope they both know how loved they are.

I looked at Websters Dictionary trying to find the best word to describe Kayla and was hard to pick just one. She was a nice co-worker and was always sweet to me. I am very sad to see she passed.

So very sad to hear that Kayla had passed away. She was a beautiful young lady that was full of spirit. My most memorable moments were when Kayla was in Head Start and we got to spend so much time with her, her brother and mother, Mary. My heart breaks for Mary, Roger and Shane. Words can not express the sorrow you all must feel. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time and always.
