Keith Frost

Funeral Service: Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Hope American Lutheran Church in Fallon, MT

Interment: Prairie County Cemetery, Terry MT.

Keith E. Frost, age 77, of Miles City, MT passed away surrounded by his family Sunday March 29, 2009 at the Billings Clinic Hospital in Billings, MT after a courageous four year battle with cancer.

Keith was born on May 5, 1931, the only child of Ralph and Mary (Ledford) Frost in Opheim, MT. He attended various grade schools and graduated from Terry High School with the class of 1949. He and Doris Hoenke were married on October 26, 1952 having a double wedding with Jess and Betty Jean Haynes (Doriss sister). Keith farmed and ranched most of his life. He also drove truck for a number of years back in the 50s. In 1957 they owned and operated Frostys Tavern in Fallon, MT. In 1965 they purchased a farm and ranch on Cracker Box Route. In 1970 they moved from Fallon to the farm where they resided until August 2008 when, due to illness, they relocated to Miles City.

Keith was a member of the Hope American Lutheran Church, served on the church council, was a volunteer fireman, and served as Secretary of the Farmers Union Oil Co. Music has always been a big part of his life. He enjoyed playing for weddings, funerals, nursing homes, dances and entertaining his family and friends.

Keith is survived by his loving wife Doris of 56 years, 2 daughters; Tana (Tom) Huft of Missoula, MT and Cindy (Greg) Ban of Chandler, AZ; and a son Jeff Frost of Missoula, MT; 7 grandchildren; Jennifer and Bryan Huft, Lindsay Ban Emerson, Amber Ban OMalley, Joel Ban, Jamy Frost and Danyl Frost, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a charity of their choice.
