May the family of find comfort in loving memories, and in knowing that God is “near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalm 34:18) Our loving Creator, Jehovah God, has promised to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) With deepest sympathy.

Mike Horn Sr. says
We lost as good brother, one who was a strong believer in the Creator. Conservative, yet traditional as well. Kenneth pierced in the Cheyenne Sun dance. He had strong family values, as well, as exercising his civil rights; sometimes observed as a radical, for speaking up for his rights, yet he spoke up for what was right legally and morally. We lost a brother who was kind hearted who would treat and help anybody and go the extra mile for them. He was a man’s man who handled himself with confidence and grace. He was a man of compassion who would give you what you needed if he had it or could get it, or help you in any way possible-, his last dollar, clothes off his back, or shoes off his feet to help you. Some have witnessed it. I am proud to know him as my brother. God Bless you brother.

I will always miss my grandpa. He taught me about my culture and what it is to be a Cheyenne. I remember how I used to always show off when he would watch me dance in powwows. And he had a green thumb as well. He would always tell me stories about the Sundance and he would teach me Cheyenne language. Nemehotatse grandpa I will always remember you.

Ken lived with our family in Washington when he was about 14. We enjoyed having him in our home and being a part of our family for a short time. I am sad to hear of his passing. I have faith that I we will all see him again.

Where were you all when he was hanging out in abandoned houses in Lame Deer and drinking LYSOL???
Medora Horn says
Interesting perspectives. I’m his daughter, and the picture painted of him is not what his blood children knew. Roses and butterflys I guess… Cheyenne is blood, an can not be taught.
