Brother, cousin, father, friend, Kenneth “Ten Bears” Burton LeCompte, 63, passed away June 2, 2020 in Billings. He was born August 16, 1956 in Portland, OR to Sonny E. LeCompte and Lyllis Beckman.
Kenny was always on the go. He was an avid outdoorsman who could either be found in the Pryor mountains or fishing on a river bend.
Kenny was always making jokes. From fake karate to trying out different voices, Kenny was always trying to make someone laugh.
Though Kenny was always looking for new adventures, he loved his kids. He would talk so highly of them and was so proud of them.
Survived by his wife: Melissa LeCompte; children: Nasheena (Nick) Williams, Michele LeCompte, Lana LeCompte, Patrick (Bre) Juday, Kenneth LeCompte Jr; step-children: Raylee Prettyweasel, Shanaya Augare, Shandon Tallwhiteman; siblings: Sonny (Gladys) LeCompte, Melvin LeCompte, Deborah LeCompte, Mark LeCompte, Tim LeCompte; grandchildren: Nya, Neven, Maleah, Montae, Layla, Leland, Legend, Jensen, Masen, and Oaklen; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Sonny and Lyllis LeCompte.
Small graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Allison Bixby Cemetery in Lame Deer, MT.

I meet Kenny in Portland he played basketball for the Portland hawks with Darrell Eastman any way. We went to warm springs or. Kenny scored 59 points broke their score n record s. Every time he see me he would smile and thank me for helping. Was fun. Rest in peace my brother

I only knew Kenny through his art work. I have several of his pieces. I thought he had lots of talent. Sorry to hear of his passing. Life is so temporary. He left a legacy.
