Kenneth Rogers, 94, of Biddle, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Powder River Manor in Broadus.
Kenneth Rogers was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 19, 1919 to Alva and Charlotte (Clay) Rogers. Kenneth spent his life ranching near Biddle. On June 22, 1949 Kenneth married Bernadine Oedekoven in Broadus. To this union six children were born: Charlanne (Jim) Lemke, Avin Rogers, Connie (Nathan) Rumph, Tammy Hartman, Tassie (Wade) Irion, and Carlene (Andrew “Bub”) Gaskill.
In addition to working with cattle, Kenneth enjoyed driving, owning, and fixing up cars. Buying and selling cars had always been Kenneth’s hobby. Kenneth learned to play the piano by ear. He played for area dances with several other local musicians. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends, and neighbors, as well as hauling cattle to the stockyards and sales rings during the shipping season. He rarely missed an auction sale and always came home with a pickup load of bargains. He had a plan for every purchase but never had enough time to complete them. In his later years, the highlight of his week was going to church at Biddle and enjoying the fellowship of the potluck dinners.
Kenneth is survived by his children, 16 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. The grandchildren are: Kristal Lemke, Sheriann (Ryan) Lemke Hudson, Justin Lemke, Mandy (Josh) Rumph Miller, Christopher (Rikki) Rumph, Alex Rumph, Nicole (Todd) Rumph Gardner, Ross Hartman, Matthew Hartman, Jennifer Hartman, Brittany (Dalton) Irion Packard, Brianna Irion, Bethany Irion, Drew Gaskill, Garrett Gaskill, and Amanda Gaskill. The great grandchildren are Keaton, Kennedy, and Kinsley Miller and Mason and Lucas Rumph.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Alva and Charlotte Rogers, infant great grandson Robin Noble Miller, and wife of 58 years, Bernadine.

My sincere condolences to the family of Kenneth Rogers – May you find comfort in your loving memories, great pictures and in recalling his many talents. God did not purpose that mankind suffer and die and has promised that a time will come when no one will say “I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24). Our loving Creator has promised an end to pain and death. (Revelation 21:4). The promise of Paradise, the perfect conditions God originally intended for mankind in the Garden of Eden, will be fulfilled including God’s “will being done as in Heaven also upon Earth” (Matt 6:9, 10). I hope you are comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).
