Kent Michael Kolka, 22, beloved brother, grandson, nephew and friend passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Billings. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, at Grace Bible Church in Miles City. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Boise, Idaho.
Kent was born on August 4, 1997 in Boise to Brian and Laurie (Grassmid) Kolka. He was the middle child and enjoyed the love and attention of being an only son. Kent lived with his parents until their passing and then with his grandparents and sisters until his junior year.
Kent moved to Miles City where he attended Custer County District High School and actively pursued football, track and skiing. Following graduation in 2016, he briefly lived in Michigan, working and living with his aunt and uncle. He recently enjoyed working construction for S Bar S in Billings.
Kent loved the mountains, skiing, fishing and hunting. Like his father, he was gifted in woodworking and created many family treasures. He had a heart for helping others.
Kent is survived by his sisters Krysten Jensen (Derik) and Kelsey Kolka; grandparents Gary and Lea Stone; grandma Bonnie Kolka; great grandma Ann Dykema; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kent was preceded in death by his parents Brian and Laurie Kolka, and is now reunited with them in heaven.

Krysten and Kelsey,
Jesus wept. John 11:35
This Bible verse always reminds me that our Savior cries when we cry. Martha and Mary were sisters who loved their brother dearly, just as you two loved your brother Kent. Jesus weeps with you.
Our family is lifting up all who loved Kent and miss him – grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins and friends.
May God draw near and comfort you today and in the days to come.
We love you,
Melissa & Scott

We are praying every day for your sweet family. May you feel God’s arms wrapped tightly around you as He holds you up and gives you His strength. I have always loved Kent since being his teacher as a little guy- He had a kind heart, and a spark and shine that radiated from his eyes to all who met him. God loves and understands.
