Kerry Schneider, age 47, of Miles City passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Kerry was born in Ekalaka, Montana on October 15, 1960, the son of Jock and Darlene (Shipman) Schneider. He grew up and attended school in Ekalaka where he graduated from Carter County High School. While in school, he worked for the Tooke Ranch. Following his schooling, he moved to Nebraska where he drove truck, returning to Ekalaka in 1983. Kerry married Jitt Walter in September of 1983. To this union two daughters were born, Tandi Jo on November 20, 1986 and Trista Jill born August 22, 1988. He drove truck for Joe Whitney and worked between Nebraska, Ekalaka and Miles City. Kerry made Miles City his home since the early 1990s driving truck for various trucking companies. In 1999 he went to work for John Deere where he worked until 2004 when he returned to driving truck. Kerry loved his profession of being a truck driver and was proud of the fact that he had drove millions of miles with not one accident. His favorite pastime was fishing, followed by hunting, and roping steers. Kerry enjoyed talking on the telephone, keeping in touch with his many friends and loved one's. Kerry loved to socialize and meet new friends. Kerry will be remembered for his quick wit, extreme sense of humor and his many, many stories he told. Kerrys love was his daughters, family and friends. His special feature was his kindness and caring of others in need and taking young children under his wing.
Kerry is survived by his mother, Darlene Stoltz of Miles City, MT; daughters: Tandi Jo Schneider of Ekalaka, MT and Trista Jill Buckley of Miles City, MT; his brother Guy Schneider of Billings, MT; his very special niece and dancing partner, Sydnee (Mable) Schneider of Miles City, MT; a step father, Ron Stoltz of Red Lodge, MT; grandmother, Lucille Shipman of Miles City, MT; his aunts and uncles: Rod and Kay Brown of Centennial, CO; Jim and Betty Jean Logan of Miles City, MT; cousins: Dennis, Troy, Darla, Jami and Ryan; his great friend and traveling partner Troy Logan of Miles City, MT; Gina Wolff of Miles City, MT and too many friends and relatives to mention.
Kerry was preceded in death by his father Jock Schneider; grandparents, Sherill Shang Schneider; Alberta Bert Schneider and Ray Shipman.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the family of Kerry Schneider to be used to purchase a headstone.
