Kevin Walking Eagle, age 35 of Wolf Point passed away August 6, 2006.
Kevin was born on March 10, 1971 to Leo Walking Eagle Jr. and Lois Bull Bear. He was raised by his grandma and grandpa, Clarence and Loretta Adams.Kevin attended Poplar High School and later went to college in Albaquerque, New Mexico at Southern Indian Polytech Institute (S.I.P.I.) for Culinary Arts. Kevin was a self employed Artist and a Black Jack Dealer in Sioux City, Nebraska. He was a very talented artist and won art contests while attending high school. He enjoyed cooking, painting, drawing, and listening to music. Kevin also helped make the Poplar Schools iron mascot sculpture. He painted a wall mural at the Fort Peck Law Enforcement Jail. He drew family pictures for various people as well as some bead work. He also did three drawings for the Silver Wolf Casino. Kevin also enjoyed spending time with his nieces.
He was survived by his mother Lois Chaske of St. Michaels, North Dakota, brother; Leo Leonard Walking Eagle of Missoula, Montana, sister, Janice (Brett) Damon of Wolf Point, Montana, brother; Jerrell Walking Eagle of Kansas, sister; Merilee Yuzicappi of Fort Quapple, Sask., Canada, and his aunts and uncles: Harold (Sandra) Adams, Lynda (Doug) Lethbridge, Leona Adams, Clarice (Clyde) Perry, Edith Adams, Loretta H. (Gene) Heck, Sandra (Buffy) Shanta, and Claudia (Will) Reese, Adopted family Gladys, Millie, Wayne First, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Leo Walking Eagle Jr., brother, Clarence Wayne, and sister, Melissa Joy. Also preceding him was his grandparents, Clarence and Loretta Adams.
