It was Kim Maria Rogers-Glenmore’s, Red Leaf Women (Ma’ E vehpota’e), age 51, of Lame Deer, time to go on September 19, 2016. She was born in Forsyth, MT and grew up in Ashland.
Kim was a loving mother to Jessica and Cruz, in fact she was a loving mother to many of her family members. She was the backbone of the family. She used to be an emergency foster parent, she had the best motherly instinct to take care of a person in need.
She attended college at Dull Knife and graduated with an Associate of Art degree in Secretary of Science. Kim specialized in special education. She worked at Eagle Cable for many years. Kimmie then got a job at Lame Deer High School as a secretary where she moved her position and worked with the special education students. She worked with her very good friend Robin Nansel for many years in special education.
Kim had many hobbies and special interests such as beading, traditional dancing at powwows, and attending all Lame Deer Morning Star games. She was the # 1 Morning Star Fan.
Kim met John Glenmore almost 15 years ago. On October 24 2001, they were introduced through mutual friends. Kim and John would then go on dates at the casino, mainly to play Bingo, which Kim loved. They also enjoyed country drives in the hills all around the reservation with their family and whoever wanted to come. They took on the powwow trail to Polson, MT, and always enjoyed a cold dip in Flathead Lake.
Kim will be joined by her family on the other side, to include: Her father Clarence Leroy Rogers; Grandmothers Mary Fisher and Julia Walkslast; Uncles Burton Fisher Sr., Henry Fisher, Jimmy Walkslast, and Jimmy Rogers; Brother-in-law Larry ShotGunn; and beloved pets: Big kitty Rogers, Buddy Glenmore and Disco Rogers.
She is survived by her husband John Glenmore; mother Betty Rogers; Brothers Waylon Rogers and Steven (Crystal) Carrell; Sisters Marilyn (Kenneth) Crow Eagle-Rogers, Leeann (Jay) Rogers, and Arlene Rogers; her children Jessica Rogers, Cruz Glenmore, Alisha (Vernon, Jr.) Fisher, Shireesa (Fred) Bryant, Shantecca Rogers, Macayla Rogers, Dustin G, Josh Brien, Baby Zi, and Baby Camielle. She had many adopted children that were close to our family, and too numerous to mention. Nieces and Nephews: Mo (Sheena), Danielle, Shane ShotGunn, Jordan Washee, Kaya Rogers, Christian Middlerider, Justin Carrell, Raini June, and Suger Jean. She had many grandchildren she loved and we are sorry that we cannot name them all.
Kim was related to many families including; Rogers, ShotGunns, Fishers, Phelan, Harris, Sandcrane, Littlebird, Playingbear, Standingelk, Walkslast and many more families that we have not mentioned. We apologize if we have forgotten anyone.
