Kimberly Dyan Reed
On the morning of December 26, 2021, Kim passed away unexpectedly at her parents’ home in Miles City. Kim was 53.
Kim was born in La Mesa, California on January 6, 1968, to John and Patricia Reed and joined her sister Cheri. Kim attended school in Spring Valley, California and graduated from Mount Miguel High School in 1986. She loved fast pitch softball and played in community leagues and was on the varsity squad in high school. Kim went on to college on a softball scholarship where she played on the varsity squad. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Kim left California and moved to Billings, Montana in 1995 her sister already resided. Kim worked for several temp agencies in the area on long term assignments. Kim played slow pitch softball on several teams and was able to meet many people and traveled throughout Montana. She worked for Global Crossings in Billings when 9/11 took place and was instrumental in maintaining the communication system during that tragic event. Kim moved to Washington and then to Colorado where she spent most of her time. Kim owned her own business, I Think Inc., where she worked with small businesses. She returned to Montana in 2015 and moved to Miles City where her parents and sister reside.
Kim will be remembered for her kindness to others, compassion and empathy. She loved her pets, dog and cats and the time she spent with family.
Kim is survived by her parents, John and Patricia Reed; her sister Cheri and brother-in-law Kevin Anderson. She also has cousins and friends scattered around the country.

Kim was a very nice lady who would stop by our house and play with our dog. She was always glad to see a person and was very friendly. We will miss her.

I can not find the words to express my shock and sadness re the passing of Kim. Although I didn’t know her long in fact only as long as she’d stepped in to help out at Liberty Antiques, I thought of her as a new friend. On behalf of myself and some of her other “new” friends, we extend our deepest condolences.
