Kurt Ulrich died January 7, 2026, at the Glendive Medical Center. He was born to Rudy and Leafie Ulrich on July 1, 1945, the only one of five kids to be born in Glendive.
He grew up and went to grade school at Gavin and Marsh schools. He graduated from Terry High School in 1964.
Along with his brother Donald, they purchased the family farm from their parents. Kurt spent many hours farming with his 2-180 white tractor, which he took very good care of. Kurt was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard. He raced his N-64 Dodge & his purple duster at the drags in Glendive. He also enjoyed shooting and hunting; he raised calves and was a volunteer fireman and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
In August of 1971, he eloped with Judy Meidinger. They had only one son, Ronald, born in 1975. He had a great sense of humor.
Kurt is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Ronald; sister Kay Pegg; and brother Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Karen Solle and Donna Babby, along with brothers-in-law Don Pegg, Ed Solle, and Wyman Babby, and a sister-in-law Judith Ulrich.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Hope American Lutheran Church in Fallon at 10:00 a.m., with luncheon to follow. Interment will take place at Cabin Creek Cemetery following the luncheon.
