Kymani Littlebird, age 19, of Lame Deer

February 24, 2001 – June 25, 2020

Mata Mo’esa’e White Buffalo Calf born February 24, 2001 I Crow Agency to Ernest Littlebird and Nancy Bighawk. Mo’esa’e was taken home by the Lord Jesus on June 25, 2020. A young person’s life was taken too soon. Ky was an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. Ky as those close to him called him, was a very intelligent individual. Ky was loved by all who walked into his life. Ky was to graduate on July 10, 2020 from Lame Deer High School. Ky was a well-mannered young man. He was always willing to help where needed. He spent a majority of his time with his siblings at the family home. You can say he was a family man. Ky was excited to be the first graduate in the immediate Littlebird family. Ky enjoyed hanging out with his buddies. Growing up Ky was adopted into many families of his own. He grew up with Miguel Lopez and was adopted as part of their family. Also, Dakota Patterson and his family. Ky would spend a lot of his summers with Dakota and his family. Ky had many friends that actually lived in the family home or were always hanging out. The family was proud to see Ky, as he took care of his siblings, especially his baby sister Amagah. Ky loved playing hand games and also basketball. Ky was always excited to play for the Black Kettle and Northern Cheyenne Junior Handgame team and was a champion in 2007. Mo’esa’e always had a smile and a kind greeting. Recently Ky worked at the Cheyenne Depot I where he became family with his co-workers. Mo’esa’e was proud to be a warrior soldier for the Peoples Camp Society. He proudly talked about the Military Sosiety. Mo’esa’e was a member of the Elk Horn Scrapers Society. He was initiated at the sundance in Busby when he was one years old. In March 2001 Kymani was given his Indian name by Douglas Spotted Eagle who was his grandfather and the sacred hat keeper.
Kymani was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James and Harriet Littlebird. Deborah Howe Yarlott, Paternal grandfather Strane Dives Backwards, Adrian Garcia, Frank Garcia, Cyro Littlebird, Harold Vance Littlebird. Douglas Spotted Eagle, Kobe Killsnight and Holly Plenty Hawk.
Ky is survived by his parents, sister Amagah, Brothers: King, Cheyland and Rockson of the family home. Maternal Grandparents: Geofedo and Jacklyn Littlebird, Paternal Grandparents James and Rosella Mann. Great Great Grandmother Romana Robles and Cathy BellyMule. Great Grandparents: David (Beth) Yarlott Jr, Larry (Susan) Garcia, Grandparents: Lawrence (Brandi) Garcia Jr, Mary (Pete) BigHair, Roderick PlentyHawk and Robert Kindness. Aunts: LeVonna (Shane) Graham, Kristen Pongah, Char (Leo) Hugs, Mia Garcia, JoDean Eaglefeathers. Uncles: Geofredo Littlebird Jr, Steven (Lisa)Littlebird, Robert (Alonna)Bailey, Darren (Leah)Bixby, Richard Bixby, Elwin (Emma)Ponjah, Douglas (Laurelle) Bixby Robert Big Hawk, Fredd (Shiressa)Mann, Elvis (TeriLeah) OldBull Jr, Larry “Smurf” (Racheal)Garcia, Nikko, Gage and Adrian Garcia, Nate and Andre Doyle. Ky is also survived by his Elk Horn Scrapers Brothers, Peoples Camp Security and Cheyenne Depot 1 staff.
Our extended family includes Littlebird, Mexican Cheyenne King, Black Horse, Tall Whiteman, Fox, Garcia, Robles, Gonzalez, BigHawk, Dives Backwards, Horse Rhoads, RidesHorse, Dust, Sprint, Fights Wellknown, Bird Faraway, Greybull, Cummins, WhiteHip, Horn, Blaine, Bulltail, Whiteman, Small, Hill, LionShows, RockAbove, Eastman, Brown, Howe, Mullenburg, Other Medicine, SitsDownSpotted, FogintheMorning, Five, Gunshows. We apologize if we missed anyone. We have a hugefamily on our Cheyenne, Crow and Mexican decendancy, and Kymani had many friends.

    Ky would always stay with us in Hardin and Gillette Wyoming. He always made us laugh so much. And would sing at the top of his lungs in the truck. We’d turn it up and Dakota would say no mom dont he’ll get louder hahaha
