Lance Gordon Gilbertson, age 42, of Wolf Point, MT passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point. He was born June 29, 1965 in Glasgow, MT.
Lance was a caring, generous and loving person who honored the Elders in Wolf Point by delivering them soup and fry bread. He was a special son to Gladys who taught him the Sioux language. He was an accomplished guitar player and had a playful spirit. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Lance is survived by his children, Tony and Tim Gilbertson of Janesville, Wisconsin, and Daphne Young of Tennessee; his mother and stepfather, Betty and Varian Brandt of Stanford, MT; his father, Gordon Gilbertson of Roundup, MT; fianc, Cindy Taylor of Wolf Point, MT; brothers, Scott Gilbertson and family of Miles City, MT and Cody Gilbertson and family of Bozeman, MT; sisters, Lori Barnett and family of Miles City and Tawne Sweet and family of Castle Rock, WA; grandmother, Ruth Gilbertson of Glasgow; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Lance also had a large adoptive family in Wolf Point.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Curtis Pratt, grandmother, Roberta Little, grandfather, Olaf Gilbertson, Aunt Dixie, and cousins, Gerry and Travis Payant. Lances journey to meet the Creator has been fulfilled.
