Larrol James Littlebird, VeKeso Maheonevestse (Holy Bird)Larrol James was born on August 11, 2010 at the Billings Birthing Center in Billings, MT at 6:30pm.

Our brave little angel was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and was battling leukemia from his first breath of life. His liver was enlarged and ultimately his little body couldnt fight any longer. He passed away in his parents arms at the Newborn Intensive Care Unit in Salt Lake City, UT on September 3, 2010 at 6:57 am. The family had been making an arduous journey to and from Salt Lake and back to Montana during baby Larrols brief, but blessed, three weeks on this earth. We had friends and family who also journeyed with us through thought and prayer and we love you for that.

Our little angel had a very special name. Larrol is in honor of his late cousin Larold, Jr. and his late uncle Larold, Sr.. James is in honor of his late great-grandfather James Littlebird, his uncle Lynwood James Hisbadhorse, and his late uncle James Little White Man. He no doubt was destined to be a great horseman and cowboy, just like his uncles and grandfather.

Larrol James is preceded in death by his cousin Larold, Jr.; uncle Larold Littlebird, Sr.; aunts Alene Littlebird and Teresa Rising Sun; grandfather Jack Hisbadhorse; great-grandfather James Littlebird and great-grandparents Regina and John Whiteman. On his fathers side he is preceded in death by his uncles Ira Morsette and James Little White Man; aunt Madeline Old Rock; grandfather Orion Butch Old Rock; great-grandfather Claude Windy Bad Brave; great-grandparents Joe and Serena Gardner, Harry Sr. and Annie Joyce Littlebird and Louie and Angela Plante; great-great grandparents John and Lillian Bad Brave and his fathers special friend Royce Baker. He will also be guarded and protected by a special dog, Brownie, who will no doubt always be faithfully by Larrols side.

Our little angel boy is survived by his parents, Lance and Loylene; sisters Brittany, Lara and Leisha; brothers Rueben Cole and Dusty; maternal uncles Terry Olson, Lynnwood Hisbadhorse, Victor (Joyce) Walks Along, Lonnie, Lloyd Jr. (Bobbie), Dorek Sr. and Justin Littlebird Sr. and great-grandmother Molly Medicine Elk; paternal uncles Glenn Jr. and John Littlebird; maternal aunts Arlene Rogers, Mariah Maxwell, Jennifer Gleason and Kim Whiteman; paternal aunts Angela (Ray) Martinez, Ruth and Anna Littlebird; grandparents Lloyd Sr. and Julitha Littlebird and Glenn Sr. and Lillian Littlebird. He has a very large and caring family, too many to name individually, but you know who you are.He is honored by the Hisbadhorse, Whiteman, Medicine Elk, Gleason, Medicine Bull, Wallowing Killsnight, Russell, Brady, Spang, Rowland, Soldier Wolf, Little White Man, Eaglefeathers, Ridgebear, Waters, Tallwhiteman, Gardner, Plante, Old Rock, Bad Brave, Standing Alone, Gwin, Mad Plume, Morsette, Baker, Good Bear, Two Moons and King families. If we forgot any family names we greatly apologize.A very extra special thanks to baby Larrols staff at Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT, his special nurses Bonnie, Lisa, Lynda, Jane, Ethel, Kristi, Eve, Diane, Jennifer, Ashlee and Marilee. Please accept our apologies if we forgot you. Doctors Coulter, Downey and Wiedemeyer; oncologists Dr. Khatua and Dr. Sato. Again, if we forgot any of his staff we greatly apologize.

These special people never treated us as strangers, they treated us like family. They will forever be in our hearts with great love and respect. They never gave up on our little Larrol James.

Thank you to all our friends and family who sent their thoughts and prayers and donations, be it over the phone, e-mails or in person. You all gave us strength, love, hope and faith. You kept us strong then and now. God bless and be with you all. We truly thank and love you.

Forever in our hearts, Lance and Loylen
