Larry Alan Dickman

Funeral Service: Monday, August 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Graveside Service: Eastern Montana State Veteran's Cemetery with full military honors

Larry Alan Dickman, age 63, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.

Larry was born in Scobey, Montana on January 10, 1947, the son of Walter J. and Marion T. (Knudson) Dickman. He attended grade school at Whitetail Elementaryand graduatedfrom Flaxville High School. Larry married Linda Dillabough in 1966. He then enlisted in theU.S. Armyand was stationed in Georgia and Germany. Following his honorable discharge from the military he returned toWhitetail and then moved to Miles City shortly thereafter. Therehebegan his work as a pipefitter which took him all over the United States. In addition to his residencein Miles City, he also built a home in Zion, Illinois, where he resided for many years.

Larry loved his life and lived it on his own terms.His passionsincluded working on and rebuilding cars in addition to listening to talk radio and watching his favorite, MSNBC. Larry enjoyed his work and retired when he was diagnosed with anaplastic thyroid cancer, a very rare form of cancer. He had a joking sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his mother, Marion Dickman of Columbia Falls, MT; a son, Dustin (Sarita) Dickman of Miles City, MT; three daughters: Lonni (Dan) Fougner of Fargo, ND; Rhea (Daniel Richardson) Dickman of Fargo, ND; and Shay Dickman of Loveland, CO; a brother, Ronald Dickman of Kalispell, MT; a sister, Linda Pilot of Whitefish, MT; seven grandchildren: Calan, Kirby, Camden, and Carson Fougner and Chance, Caid and Chloe Dickman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City, MT. Interment will follow at the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post #1579.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Larrys memory to the family of Larry Dickman c/o Dustin Dickman, 1104 Roberts, Miles City, MT 59301.
