In Memory Of

Larry E. Cole

Visitation: Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 10:00am to 6:00pm with family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00pm in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Forsyth.

Funeral Service: Friday, October 31, 2008 at 11:00am in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth

Interment: will follow in the Forsyth Cemetery

Larry Edward Cole, age 76 of Forsyth, son of Morris and Lauraine (Crandel) Cole, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, October 26, 2008.Larry was born March 13, 1932 in Forsyth. He attended Sanders Country School and graduated from Hysham High School. In 1951 Larry married his first wife, Carol Shoemaker. They had five children. He spent many years working on area ranches, long haul truck driving and Brand Inspecting. In 1970 he moved to Washington, where he managed the Toppenish Livestock Yard and also worked as a Brand Inspector. In 1988 he moved back to Montana to care for his father. Throughout his life, Larry was always involved in some aspect of raising cattle and horses. He trained and raced horses for several years in Washington and Montana and then had draft horse teams and wagons which he showed in parades and rodeos.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, rodeos and spending time out at Wyant Coulee the family ranch pasture. Road Trips with frequent coffee stops for visits with whomever was sitting next to him were also enjoyed.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister Morla Rice of Lewiston, ID; his children, Wade (Teryl) Cole of Forsyth, Sandra Cole of Outlook, Washington, Phyllis Cole of Winston, Oregon, Pam (John) Ebbelaar of Washington, Elizabeth Cole of Universal City, Texas; his nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and one niece Morla (Mike) Moser and a great niece and nephew.

Special thanks to Sister/Cousin Priscilla Morehouse for all her care, encouragement and the many, many doctor visits. Also to Teryl Tatro for her continued support and care. Richard and Joan DeCock for their many years of friendship. Judy Fleming for her special friendship.Memorials can be made to the Rosebud Health Care Center, Physical Therapy Department, Forsyth, Montana.
