Larry Olson, age 72, of Miles City passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his home in Miles City.
Larry was born on September 13, 1943 in Terry, Montana to Alvin and Mildred (Wang) Olson. Larry attended schools in 4 Buttes, Froid, Culbertson. He went to University of Montana at Missoula where he received Bachelors in Business, graduating in 1967. He enlisted in the Army the Spring of 1967 serving three years as finance clerk in Germany. He returned to Miles City where his parents lived. He eventually became a journeyman bricklayer, a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft workers. Many of the buildings in Miles City, Larry laid bricks for. He worked throughout Montana and Idaho. In the spring of 1996, Larry and Linda meet and have been together since then with his little black dog Molly joining in 2003. After retiring, Larry began building beautiful unique furniture and gardening.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Jack. He is survived by his younger brother Ron Olson of Great Falls, MT; and Linda and Molly of Miles City.
A remembrance gathering will be held on May 7, 2016 starting at 4:00 p.m. through the evening with friends and family coming to share a Larry story, a smile, a tear and a beer. It will be at Larry & Linda’s home. Call 234-2064 for information.

Larry and I grew up together in Culbertson. We then roomed together at the UofM. It’s too bad he died at such a young age. I hope he didn’t suffer. I felt he did some of that after College. Best wishes for all his friends in the Miles City area.
