I met Larry in Ontario, Oregon around 1994 when I was all of 20 years dumb, and all the man ever gave to our”society” was grace, wisdom, and a sense of peace that otherwise wasn’t made readily available. His guidance of his peers, and close friends was always given with respectful elegance, charm, and a wit that was unmatched by any. I personally hold the man in such regard to that of my own father. He helped me put my surroundings in perspective and survive through difficult times and many of my brother’s will always love Larry Redwoman.

Mitakuye Oyasin, He was “Uncle” to me, my teacher. He taught me many things. How to find and walk on the Good Red Road. Respect for the ceremonies, how to “Do it this way”. So many songs.
Uncle had many faults, just like any man who truly examines his heart. But he also loved and shared the Red Road with all who would listen.
I still hear you sing when I sing the songs you taught me.
You walk in my soul.
