Larry C. Webster, age 72, of Miles City passed away at his home in Miles City on December 18, 2009.
Larry was born on May 22, 1937 in Ekalaka, Montana the son of Lawrence Arthur and Laura Marie (Pierce) Webster.
Larry serviced in the United States Navy as a young man, when he was 18, for a short while. When he returned to the workforce, he used his talent as being mechanically inclined in several jobs. In his early years, he was employed by Parts Unlimited in Miles City, Custer Dismantlers and while in Jordan he worked as a body man at Hagemans. Larry also worked for Dick Reed ranch along with a few others before moving to Miles City where he had worked for the VFW Club in Miles City as their afterhours swamper. Larry was married to Irene Hirsch for 12 years and they had two children. They later divorced.Larry was a gifted woodworker, making many beautiful gifts for his family and friends. He also enjoyed baking pies, cookies and everything in between.
Larry is survived by his son Ricky (Jeanie) Webster of Billings, MT, daughter Larene Cristine (David) Mullett of Poway, CA, four sisters; Rose Hale of Miles City, MT, Mary (Gary) Cridland of Miles City, MT, and Lola Mae Reser of Warden, MT. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Danelle Knapp of Billings, Chrissy Webster of Billings, Kelley Mullett of Poway, CA, David Mullett of Poway, Ca, 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way; Riley Knapp, Brayden Webster, Karley Webster and Baby Webster on the way. He is also survived by his little toy poodle Toffee who went everywhere with him and was a constant companion for him in later years.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lorena Childers of Colombia Falls, MT.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Miles City.
