We are so sorry to hear about Laverne. She was a kind lady. I remember her happy laugh. She was a calm Mother, I remember when Bud was about 2ish and us kids ran into her house saying that Bud fell off the footbridge into the ditch, and she just said, “Yep, I have to go get Buddy out of the ditch again.” It was all good as there wasn’t much water in the ditch. Sorry, Bud, good memories with you, Bev, Bill, Bobby and your Mom & Dad.
Rita Marie and Ronnie says
My dear, one of kind Aunt Laverne will be missed for sure. Aunt Laverne was an absolute joy in my life. I cherish my memories of my time spent with all of my Pauley cousins on the Tongue River. As a child, I first learned how to ride a bike, an old rusty bike, on the gravel road outside of the ranch gate. Aunt Laverne and Uncle Bob took my little sister and I during the summer months to play with our cousins at their ranch and took us to all the rodeos. We spread the sawdust on the country school floor and dance the night away. We sat on Aunt Laverne’s couch in her kitchen and took turns churning the butter. We camped in the yard on hot summer nights. So many great memories, too many to count. We would drive to Miles to visit Aunt Laverne and she would catch us up on the goings on and brag about her kids and grand children. “Top Shelf” was how she described each one of you. Our hearts go out to Bev, Buddy, the grand kids and friends of Aunt Laverne. Much love to you all, Rita Marie & Ronnie
