In Memory Of

Laveta Oldbear, age 64, of Muddy Cluster

September 22, 1955 – August 17, 2020

Laveta Killsnight/Oldbear, age 65, of Muddy Cluster, MT left to be with the Lord on August 17, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. “Voe’ameohtsevae”
Laveta was born on September 22, 1955 in Crow Agency, MT. to Rosemary Atwood and Eli Killsnight. Laveta attended school in Ashland, and some years at Dull Knife Memorial College. She worked at the IGA Home Care Services Wellness Center. She was currently employed at the CHR Program.
Laveta was a God-fearing woman, a child of the King, the kind of woman when her feet hit the floor, the devil said, “Oh crap she’s awake”. A mighty prayer warrior of God.
She was a member of the Pentecostal church. She loved the Lord and loved attending revivals and prayer meetings. She had such a big heart and helped everyone whenever she could. She was a mom to everyone who needed her, and everyone knew her as xee’ee.
She met her long-life companion, David Oldbear. They got married at the Wyoming County line in 1984. Laveta loved and raised Rosemary Elkshoulder, Noah Jefferson, Wacey Elkshoulder, JR., and Frankie Bearchum as her own.
She is survived by her daughters, Andreen Killsnight Parker, Aspen Parker, Felita Bearchum, Frandie Bearchum, Laxona Buffalo Bulltall, Laris Oldbear; sisters, Mary (Lee) Oldbear, Lasuana (Frank) Castro, Rosita Castro; brother, Emeny Castro; nieces and nephews, Amber Black, Alison Black, Isaiah Stottler, Ashley Antelope, Brian Antelope, Ancenia Morrison, Teel Lincoln, Arcin Castro, Lee Oldbear, Leipiti Oldbear, Masiela Oldbear, Anthony Castro, Emeny Castro, Kyjuan Castro, Rusty Castro.Michael Castro, Dusty Castro, Celeste Smith, Dylan Castro, and Terran Castro.
Laveta is preceded in death by her sisters, Cynthia Lincoln, Cecelia Lincoln; nephew, Louis Oldbear. We have a very large family, sorry is we forgot or missed anybody that she knew. Laveta will be greatly missed by her children, friends and family. We know your dancing in your mansion in the sky.

    Lavera,
You were the rock of your family and Lame Deer at large, very big heart, kind, funny. With Great endurance. We shall see you in the morning and the Lord will bring you in to his gold and say “Welldone, though faithful servant” and welcome you into his fold.
Andreen and siblings and kids may God be with you as you endure this big loss.
