Lawrence G. Erlenbusch, age 65, of Angela, MT passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the St. VincentHospital in Billings.

Lawrence was born to Gustav and Martha Erlenbsuch on the family home near Cohagen in the Wason Flats area on September 13, 1939. He attended Pitzer country school for grades 1-8, Custer County High School, two years at Custer County Junior College, and graduated from MSU-Bozeman with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. He was baptized and a confirmed member of the Neudorfor Lutheran Church at Purewater.

Lawrence was a lifelong farmer and rancher, devoted to the family farm. He was a strong and hard working man, single-handedly, managing his land and cattle after his father passed away in 1976. His mother lived with him on the family farm until she passed away in 2001. His neighbors became his family along with his nephews and niece. Lawrence was kind and gentle with compassion and a big heart for those he was close to and whoever befriended him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and became a friend to everyone who returned his loyal friendship. Attending auctions and drawing weather maps for the community were his passions. He was a skilled artist and drew many beautiful pencil and ink drawings and cartoons which he so generously shared with friends. His penmanship was especially neat and fine. He also belonged to a book club and enjoyed sharing his collection with friends, neighbors and family.

Lawrence read many books and paid attention to details in the news and therefore delighted in conversations on any topic whether it was news around the world, politics, history, the future, agriculture, or just plain everyday living.

Survivors include two sisters, Eileen Savage of Circle; Jerrieann Finn of
Billings; one brother Harvey of Miles City; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Martha.
