Interment: in the family lot of the Pioneer Cemetery
Lawrence Hoolie Edwards, age 87 of Jordan, Montana, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Hoolie was born on August 19, 1918, at Haxby Point, MT, the son of George and DeEtta (King) Edwards. He was raised and attended country schools in the area and together with his wife, of 61 years, Kathleen Billy DeBock, have lived and ranched on the Haxby Point up until the present time.
Hoolie will be remembered for all the good times spent dancing and listening to him playing the fiddle, accompanied by his wife on the piano or accordion. Their home was always a welcome place. Their many friends from all walks of life and places knew when they left, they had met good people. Hoolies life revolved around his wife and his ranch on the Haxby Point where he was the happiest.
Hoolie is survived by his wife, My Lady Kathleen of Jordan, MT, special family, Jay and Gail Twitchell and their family, Travis, Troy and Toni, special friends, Duncan, Scotty and Donald McDonald, Carla and Gene Christianson, brother-in-law, Jim DeBock and his wife Evie of Cody, WY, sister-in-law, Joan Frady of Jordan, MT, nieces; Patricia Perkins, Deanna Murnion, Nina Bundy, Terry Stratton, Viny Lufborough, Velma Rice, Della Jane Jarrett, DeEtta Edwards and Marci Scarlett, nephews; John Frady, and Kelly, David and Scott DeBock.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Monte and King Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 from 1:00 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the V.F.W. Hall in Jordan. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Pioneer Cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Jordan is in charge of the arrangements.
