We will always love that big smile of his and all his laughs. His life was a blessing that he didn’t take for granted. Larry was baptized as a Mormon , but he never forgot where he came from.
He comes from Busby and has a lot of family and friends whom he loved dearly, with what seemed to be endless stories. He loved his ice cubes and ice chips. This great man that we all love adopted a lot of kids and family, he was adopted by many loving parents as well; constantly making us laugh and smile or simply brighten the mood. He loved being a son, a dad, an uncle, grandfather, friend, and he loved being a part of a family.
There is a lot of things he did in life that he is proud of, like graduating high school, getting his bachelor’s degree, being a world champion singer with Red Nation, working amongst his people of several states and basically everything that made him the legend we all enjoyed around. He also met a lot of famous people along the way.
Traveling was always a big love in his heart… he was always singing and dancing throughout his life. My dad has honored by a lot of people and many ways of living with a ton of love and respect. He will love his family and friends. “Ice” out-lived his expiration date because he would smoke everyday and would constantly pray.
He enjoyed his crazy life full of ups and downs… now we send him home with love and respect so we can remember the knowledge and love he left with us.
To those far and near, much love and respect! ARGGHH!! Until we meet again, smoke big and don’t forget to breath.

Our deepest condolences to the family and many good friends of Larry. I was fortunate to have Larry in my 1st and 2nd grade art classes at Busby School when I was a brand new teacher fresh on the rez from Indiana. Larry was the cutest lil’ guy- kinda chubby with long skinny braids. He was always curious and kind. On class walks, he would linger behind, stopped to marvel at a small bug or rock that he’d found. He was delighted with the world. Later, I connected back with him when he was a high school student and then got to know his kids. He was always happy to see people and greeted them with a smile, a handshake or a hug. He was also a gifted craftsman/ artist. Larry was truly one of those people who makes the world a better place. He was salt of the earth. He will always be remembered by so many. May Ma’heo’o bring comfort to all of Larry’s family and friends.

I am a travel nurse from Alabama that had the incredible blessing of meeting Larry on my 6 month assignment in Montana. He had a huge heart and a huge talent for making double dream catchers. I love him and will never forget the loving spirit he gave to me! i will never forget his smile!

Larry was a vibrant soul with a wonderful sense of humor, always joking and smiling. I loved to sit and talk with him as he created beautiful dreamcatchers and he would tell me stories of his adventures. He had a strong respect for culture and was always concerned about the well-being and future of the younger generations. I learned alot from Larry and I will miss our chats and his dancing smile. RIP my friend 🤗

I was going to do this the same week of funeral. Larry was a big fan of taking selfies of the people he really cared about. I miss him every day and think that he would love for everyone to post the selfie’s they have with him. I will call it the SELFI CHALLENGE . So anyone reading this please do the selfi Challenge I started it. Larry was a very very kind man. One of a kind. He had the strongest most powerful presence of a person I have ever felt. When he was around not a single soul was without a smile. He was an amazing man. I know he is still with each and every one of us. So post your selfie and show that his pictures live on the way he intended😁
