Interment: Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery.
Leah Peterson, age 85, ofMiles City passed away on Friday, October 15, 2004 at the Friendship Villa Care Center in Miles City.
Leah was born in Onaka, South Dakota on October 9, 1919, the daughter of John and Caroline (Walsh) Miller. She attended school in South Dakota for a few years before moving to Forsyth with her family where she then attended country school at Vananda. She attended and graduated from high school in Ingomar. Following her schooling, she went to work for Dr. Hines in Billings where she worked until she got married. Leah married Ernest Peterson in Billings, Montana on June 27, 1947. In 1948, they moved to Miles City where they had lived since.
Leah is survived by her husband, Ernest Peterson of Miles City, MT; and two sisters:Tillie Horner of Missoula, MT; and Violet Smith of Gaithersburg, MD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Amelia; and two brothers: Albert and Harold Miller.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veterans Cemetery.
