Interment: Custer County Cemetery.
Leda Ann LeAnn Meidinger, age 51, of Miles City passed away on Friday, December 7, 2007 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.
LeAnn was born in Glendive, Montana on December 29, 1955, the daughter of John W. and Aileen (Cooper) Hess. She attended grade school in Fallon and graduated from Terry High School. She married Gary J. Meidinger on September 23, 1972 in Glendive, Montana. They operated Garys Market in Terry while LeAnn entered the nursing program at Miles Community College. In 1981 the family moved to Miles City. Following her schooling, she worked as a registered nurse at Holy Rosary Hospital and later at Garberson Clinic. In March of 1989, she went to work at the VA Hospital while earning her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. LeAnn continued to work for the VA until April of this year.
LeAnn loved to garden, cross stitch, crochet and travel with her husband. She and was always involved in a project of some kind. Her family, home, and her kitty Charlie meant everything to her. The light of LeAnns life was her grandson Chase, with whom she shared a very special bond.
LeAnn is survived by her husband, Gary J. Meidinger of Miles City, MT; two daughters: Junita (Jess) Drange of Ismay, MT; and TiffanyMeidinger of Denver, CO; one grandson, Chase; her mother, Aileen Hess of Miles City, MT; five brothers: David (Diedree) Hess of Brighton, CO; Richard (Lola) Hess of Miles City, MT; Tim (Karen) Hess of Terry, MT; Ken (Vicky) Hess of Miles City, MT; and Tom (Darlene) Hess of Billings, MT and many nieces and nephews very dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her father, John W. and a nephew, Michael.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City. Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
