Interment: will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Bonnievale Cemetery in Baker
Lela Cooper, age 89, ofIsmay, Montana passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Lela was born in Ismay, Montana on June 4, 1916, the daughter of Charles Frank and Adalena (Timmerman)Houzvicka. She attended country school at Riley andPennell schools. She married Roy Cooper in 1938 at Wolf Point, Montana. Following their marriage, they moved back toIsmay where they farmed and ranched. In 1941, they were blessed with a son, Rod. Roy passed away in 1976 and Lela and Rod continued to operate the ranch until the time of her death.
Lela is survived by her son, Rod Cooper of Ismay, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: John Frederick and Charles Wesley and a sister,Lottie Houzvicka.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Bonnievale Cemetery in Baker. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
