Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Vida

Interment: Vida Cemetery

Lena Kwasney, age 89 of Vida, Montana passed away September 29, 2006 at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care.

Lena was born January 14, 1917 to Nick and Katherine (Pedelesky) Klym in Belfield North Dakota. In 1938 Lena married Matt Kwasney in Glasgow, MT. Together they had 3 sons. Lena was a member of the Catholic Alter Society and belonged to the Vida Homemakers Club. She enjoyed reading, gardening and watching soap operas. She was a member of the St. Anns Catholic Church in Vida and was a Eucharistic minister.

Lena is survived by her sons, David (Pat) Kwasney of Sidney, Robert (Audrey) Kwasney of Las Vegas, NV, Elmer (Judy) Kwasney of Helena; sister, Polly Gawryliv of Dickinson, ND; seven grandchildren, Debbie Kwasney of Rome, Italy, Pam Kwasney of Chicago, IL, Cindy Kwasney of Helena, Chuck (Heidi) Kwasney of Las Vegas, NV, Shannon Kwasney (Scott) Thomas of Spokane, WA, Stacie Kwasney (Gary) Mindt of Sidney, Scott (Cyndie) Kwasney of Sidney; and eight great grandchildren, Matt and Amanda Kwasney of Las Vegas, NV, Payton and Rylee of Spokane, WA, Maysen and Parker of Sidney, and Matt and Hannah of Sidney. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, John, Steve, Pete, and James; and sister Ida Boysun.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2006 starting at 12 noon with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Vida. Interment will be held at the Vida Cemetery.
