Leo W. Haagenson, age 83, of Minneapolis, MN formerly of Miles City

Leo W. Haagenson, age 83 of Minneapolis, MN, passed away October 26, 2014 at Our Lady of Peace Hospice Home.

Leo was born in Baker, Montana on March 9, 1931 the son of Frank and Elsie (Schulz) Haagenson. He grew up in Miles City, Montana, served in the MT, ND, MN Army and Air National Guard, worked for The Federal Aviation Administration in Alaska, and served as a Missionary in Nigeria where he met his wife. Since returning to the US in 1975 Leo has been involved in his church and Global Health Ministries.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Birgit; daughters, Bonnie (Thomas) Steinbrunner, Birgitte (Terry) Nelson and son Len (Danielle) Haagenson; grandchildren, Erich, Niklas and Josef Steinbrunner, Joshua and Aaron Nelson, and Sarah and Anna Haagenson; as well as many friends and relatives.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
