Leonard Schneider 81 passed away June 29, 2008 at his home in Forsyth of natural causes.
He was born May 1, 1927 in Mobridge, South Dakota.Leonard served 2 years in the Army and was honorably discharged on August 27, 1948 and enlisted in the Air Force the very next day. He was honorably discharged in 1963. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.Leonard married Rosemary Peterson September 17, 1975. They lived in Billings, Absarokee and Forsyth. Leonard was a born musician. He played the accordion for over 60 years. He formed the Dutchmasters Band in 1976 and they played in the Billings area for over 10 years. Afterward he played with the Fiddlers Four until moving to Forsyth. After the move, he played in the Forsyth and Miles City area. Rose was Leonard's biggest fan. Leonard and Rose belonged to the Grace Bible Church of Forsyth.
Proceeding Leonard in death were brothers Walt and Raymond and sister Delores.Survivors include his wife Rose; brother Cliff; sisters Lorraine and Geneva; daughters Joenie (Pat) McNeill, Dori (Bob) Wheeler; sons Sonny Schneider and Rick (Linda) Schneider; stepsons Bob (Penny) Peterson and Skip (Suzie) Peterson; 11 grand children, 23 great-grand children and 2 great-great grandchildren.
