Leonard Vincent Whitecrane Mo’ēhā’ee’nestoohe “Elk Howling” aka Wolf, age 55, passed away on December 27, 2022 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Leonard was born on January 8, 1967, in Crow Agency, MT to Anastasia Whitecrane. He was raised in Ashland with his mother, along with his aunt Eva (Hubert). After his mother passed away in 1973, Raymond and Clara Harris raised him until he graduated from high school. Leonard was a wonderer, he traveled all over the US. No matter where he was, he always called home.
Leonard was a very kind and gentle person. After his mother passed away, he kept mostly to himself. Leonard went to school in Lame Deer. He went to Washington on the Mormon placement program, but came back and graduated from Colstrip High School.
Leonard went by his nickname “Wolf”. He was such a loving and kind soul. He would always check on his loved one’s. He was the best and lived life the way he wanted to, always staying in Montana or Klamath Falls, Oregon. He would tell us stories and talk about friends and all the adventures he went on. He like to do crafts, draw and paint. Leonard took care of Lyle, Malinda and Myra as a big brother would. He looked out for all the kids, and always kept in touch with Malinda, Myra and Rose to tell on himself.
Leonard is survived by his brother, Raymond Rowland and his children: Anastasia, Stefhana, Jenica, Raymond Jr., Allyson, J’Sara and Chelsea. He is also survived by Clara Harris and her children Malinda Limberhand and her children Rose and Jeremiah, Lyle (Jennifer) and their children Dusty, Diedra, Lyle Jr. and Kess, Elton (Kylee) and their children, Jett and Wesley, Brice (Jeana) and their children Stephanie, Raymond, Brice Jr.(Bady). Annie (James) Bement and her children Jim (Sherri), Rosanna, Keith, and Mike. Theda and her children Dewey, Kateri (Zach), Huey (Jen), Lavonda. Melvin (Alvira) Woodenthigh and their children Melvin Jr., David, Lacy, Floyd, Myra (Virgil Sr.) and their children Marti, Josie, Virgil Jr. Vincent (Clara) Whitecrane, Leo (Berta) Connor and their children Anastasia, Colton, Dalton McKade, Heath. Joe Fox, Jimmy and Richard, Martin Hart, Susie Cain and her children, Jimmy and Frank Wilsey, and Tina.
Preceded in death by his mother Anastasia, grandparents, Leo and Ella Mae Whitecrane, Aunts Eva and Rose Whitecrane, Uncles Jasper Whitecrane, James and Harry Littlebird. Adopted dad Raymond Harris, James Foote. Cousins Victor Woodenthigh, Winslow Whitecrane, Hanna Harris.
