Leroy Jordan, age 78, of Glendive formerly of Brockway passed away on March 30, 2011 with family by his side.
Leroy was born on September 9, 1932 in Miles City, Montana, the son of William C. Jordan and Helen Jordan. He was raised on the family ranch in Brockway, Montana with his two sisters, Fern and Lydia. He grew up and attended country schools in Brockway, and attended high school in Circle, graduating in 1951. After high school, he continued working on the family ranch until he joined the Army in 1957. He spent most of his time in Germany and in 1958, he was honorably discharged. Leroy returned to the family ranch after his time in the Army to continue helping his father out on the farm. He met Janet Pearce Chambers, and after seeing one another for a while they were married on May 10, 1968. Leroy remained on the family ranch until 2010 when he had to move to the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive due to illnesses. During their time on the ranch, they raised the children who were still at home. Leroy enjoyed raising bucking horses in his earlier years and loved watching rodeos. He loved spending time on the ranch and truly loved putting in a hard days work. Most of all, he enjoyed spending his free time with his friends and family.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Janet; his children, Karl (Rebecca) Jordan of Miles City, Karen (Igor) Korolev of Eden Prairie, MN, Bob Chambers of Molt, MT, Sharyn (George) Pezant of Huntsville, TX; two sisters, Fern Stene and Lydia Johansson; fourteen grandchildren, Misha and Sasha Korolev, Caleb Heidel, Aaron Jordan, Timothy Burkett, Tracy Rance, Lisa Brown, Michael Pezant, Robyn Wilcox, Martin Chambers, Robert Chambers, Patrick Chambers, Nickie Chambers and Daniel Chambers; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Alex, Drew, Sammy, Krystal, Jasmyn, Angyl, Shayla, Vayden, Roman, Lily, Wynter, Patience and Roselynn. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Chambers, and his parents.
