Lewis Willard Eagle Boy Sr.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, MT

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, MT

Interment: will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar, MT

Willard Willie Boy Lewis Eagle Boy, Sr., age 71, our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandpa went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2010, in Billings, MT. He was born on October 23, 1938, to Rose No Breast and Mathew Eagle Boy. He was raised in Chelsea, MT and attended school in Poplar, MT. He also served in the Marine Corps.

He spent the last years of his life working with leather, playing bass guitar with his brothers at church, funerals and any place needed. He was an avid sports fan, supporting his grandson, Logan Kirn, during football and basketball season. He liked to cruise around town in Poplar and Wolf Point, stopping at all of his relatives and visiting with them. He also set up wayside stands to sell his belts and purses.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Clancy Eagle Boy of Wolf Point, MT; 3 children, Lewis Eagle Boy Jr., Lisa Boyd, and Leah Eagle Boy, all of Linwood, WA; 3 sisters, Flora Mae Sparvier, Gloria Buckles, and Irene Lowry, all of Poplar, MT; 2 brothers, Floyd Eagle Boy and Arnold Eagle Boy, of Poplar, MT; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. His extended family includes the Kidders of Standing Rock, ND; the Iron Bears of Poplar, MT; the Red Eagles of Poplar, MT; the American Horses of Standing Rock, ND; the Irelands of Standing Rock, ND; the Lamberts of Wolf Point, MT; and the Johnsons of Wolf Point, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathew and Rose Eagle Boy; his maternal and paternal grandparents; seven sisters, Mary Turning Heart, Mayme Red Eagle, Savannah Eagle Boy, Cynthia Sparvier, Isabelle Kidder, and Sandra Red Elk Adams; two brothers, Delson Eagle Boy and Melvin Eagle Boy; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

He will be missed by his family and friends. God bless all of you. He was the last surviving member of The Chelsea Cats.

A Prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, MT. Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the Poplar Cultural Center in Poplar, MT. Interment will follow at the Poplar City Cemetery in Poplar, MT.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.stevensonandsons.com. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
