Funeral Service: Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Graveside Service: Custer County Cemetery.

Lilian Johnston, age 87 of Miles City, passed away Saturday morning at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Lilian was born Sept. 26 1923 at Lancaster England the daughter of John and Mary Johnson. She attended grade school and graduated from High school in the Yorkshire England area and later becoming a professional baker specializing in pastries.Lilian later married Stanley Johnston on July 21, 1945 in Yorkshire. With Stanley being carrier military serviceman they lived throughout the U.S. and settling in Wisconsin. Through all their travels Lillian continued her pastry and cooking wherever they were until Stanleys health was failing and in 1988 moving to Miles City to be near family.

Lilian truly loved to cook especially for the holidays and most of all her family.

She is survived by her daughter Jean (David) Wheeler of Miles City, One son Robert Donald Johnston of Menominee MI; four Grandchildren Felicia, David, Debbie, Chrissy; two Great-Grandchildren Nick and Bryce.She is preceded in death her husband Stanley, Two sons Stanley James and Richard John. One Grandchild Wendy Jean and two sisters: Winnie & Ivy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.
