Interment: will follow in the family lot in the Custer County Cemetery
Lillian (Mathison) Haskin, age 88, of Miles City passed away on January 9, 2006 at the Holy Rosary Health Extended Care in Miles City.
Lillian was born on November 20, 1917 in Glendive, MT to Elmer and Antoinette (Austrum)Ramberg. She attended most of her schooling atLervold country school in Lindsay, Montana. Lillian married Carl Mathison on February 17, 1934 at Glendive, MT and they lived in New Deal, (Fort Peck), MT. In 1941, they moved to Kinsey where they farmed and ranched until 1964 when Carl passed away. Later that year, she acquired her G.E.D. in Miles City and then attended cosmetology school in Billings. She then moved to Denver, CO where she operated her own cosmetology shop for 8 years. She then moved to Billings where she married Don Haskin. Following their marriage they moved to Spokane, WA. In 1986, she moved to Denver, Colorado, then to Billings, MT and then to Miles City, MT in 1988 where she has made her home since.
Lillian is survived by her son Duane (Carolyn) Mathison of Miles City, MT, her daughter Elaine (John) Frey of Sidney, MT, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don Haskin in 1986, three sisters, one brother, grandson Mark Mathison in 1988, son Delbert in September of 1982, two great grandsons and one great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Custer County Cemetery.
