Lincoln Best

Visitation: Sunday, December 21, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus.

Funeral Service: Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Powder River Congregational Church in Broadus.

Interment: Private family interment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery

Lincoln Best, age 31, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 as a result of an auto accident.

Lincoln was born on September 23, 1977 in Billings, Montana, the son of Helen (Wilson) and Howard Best. Throughout Lincolns younger years, he worked on the E.B. Ranch with his grandfather, father, and uncle Dick. He attended school in Broadus where he graduated from Powder River County High School in 1996. Following graduation, he went to work for Mark Rite Lines. He moved to Bozeman for a short time, returning to Broadus. He later worked for Richardson Oil Company and later Encore Operating at Belle Creek, Montana where he was the Field Forman. He then worked for Ray Roerick at Pumps Plus which he later purchased in 2001 and continued to operate. He later sold part of that business and continued to operate the Pipelines Plus business. He purchased a ranch northeast of Broadus and in 2004 married Christine Franklin. They later divorced and Lincoln continued to work the Pipeline Plus business and the ranch. Lincoln enjoyed watching James Bond and Clint Eastwood movies, fishing, boating, hunting, and was an accomplished drummer playing in a band. He was a cub scout and a member of the FFA.

Lincoln is survived by his father, Howard (Jennifer) Best of Miles City, MT; his mother, Helen (James) Lorenz of Washburn, ND; a sister, Stephanie Morris of Broadus, MT; a brother-in-law, Cody Morris of Broadus, MT; his grandmothers: Phyllis Wilson of Broadus, MT and Ellen Best of Billings, MT; and his grandparents, Calvin and Sharon Best of Arizona; a niece Josie Morris and a nephew, Coy Morris both of Broadus, MT; his aunts and uncles: Kay and Scott Haight of Lewistown, MT; Lee and Marilyn Wilson of Waco, TX; and Dick and Connie Wilson of Broadus; cousins: Lee (Jamie) Baker, Erin (Scott) Jackson, Leilani (Paul) Prince, Brandon (Sherri) Wilson, Chad (Michelle) Wilson, Kelda (Will) Page, Keegan Wilson, and special friends, Kathy Studer, Dani & Tyler Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, J.L. Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Powder River Congregational Church in Broadus. Private family interment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
