Linda Reno, age 70, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Holy Rosary Healthcare center in Miles City.
Linda was born on December 19, 1940 at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City to Lurenne (Egeland) Sakelaris and Angelo Sakelaris. She was raised in Ismay, Montana and attended school there until the high school closed, moved to Ryegate, Montana in 1957 where she graduated. She moved to Harlowton, Montana working at various jobs, later she moved to Miles City and married Duane (Ole) Olson. They were together until his death in 1977. Linda moved back to Ryegate and worked various jobs, she worked on the pipe-line, tended bar, started a caf at Dead-Mans Basin, always found time to garden and raise flowers.
She moved back to Miles City and met the love of her life, Bill Reno. They were married on March 22, 1993, together they enjoyed dancing, fishing and camping. Bill died in August of 2006. Linda enjoyed spring so she could start planting her flowers she liked to fish and cook family dinners. Summers were her happiest times, she loved the hot weather and enjoyed being out in it.
Linda is survived by her father, Angelo Sakelaris of Miles City, MT; a sister, Pat Sakelaris of Miles City, MT; Bills two children: Joni Hauber and Waylon Reno; her cousins Alvin and Sandy Smith of Parkman, WY; Chris and Shirley Sakelaris of Baker, MT; Jewell Doty and Eddie Dean Cumming; her special friends Elaine Richmond and Lila Robinson of Miles City.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lurenne Sakelaris and her husband's Duane (Ole) Olson and Bill Reno.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
