Lloyd H. Eggum passed away on July 5, 2013 at the Rosebud Health Care Center with the love of his life by his side.
Lloyd was born on October 21, 1924 in Richey, MT to Martin and Anna (Moen) Eggum. He spent his childhood years on a farm outside of Richey playing with his brothers and sisters and helping his widowed mother with all the farm work. Lloyd attended and later graduated from Richey School (He was the first in his family to graduate from High School). After he graduated he met and married the love of his life, Sybil Boles on August 17, 1946 in Glendive, MT.
Lloyd and Sybil made their home in Richey for twenty seven years, where he farmed and worked for the Rural Electric Association. During this time Lloyd served on the Methodist Church Board, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge from 1954 to 1975. In 1973 Lloyd and Sybil moved themselves and Cody to Forsyth where he remained until his passing. He operated the Phillips 66 service station and later joined the team at Valley Auto and served the community there for nearly 20 years
Lloyd cut his own firewood until he was 80 years old. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop and later added cutting and polishing rocks to his hobbies.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Sybil, Sons Paul (Vickie) Eggum of Columbia Falls, MT, Calvin Eggum of Billings, MT, daughter Terry (Arlan) Hrubes of Riverton, WY, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father Martin, mother Anna, son Loren (Cody), three brothers, Hardys, Ruthvin, Marlow, one sister Emma, and one grandson Scott.

Sybil and families, I am so sorry for your loss of Lloyd. He was a great friend for so many years, back to Circle-Richey days and those many years in Forsyth. I’m so glad that Curt and I were able to visit with him when we were there for Memorial Day preparations. Curt remembers him from when he and Cody were friends way back. All of you are welcome to call me at any time, if there is anything I can help you with. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Vi Schiffer

May I offer my sincere condolences to you on the death of Lloyd. May your hearts find comfort in God’s Word where it states: “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord will wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) May your loved one awaken to a world where there will be peace (John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:11), no sickness (Isaiah 33:24), and no more troubles (Revelation 21:4) throughout eternity (Psalm 37:29). May your hearts find comfort and hope in God’s Word, family, friends and good memories at this time. My deepest sympathy to you.

Dear Sybil, I am so sorry for the loss of Lloyd. I grew up with you both in my life. I remember him playing bass in our living room when we would have a music night! Lloyd was a kind person and was always such a joy to visit with. I am sure Cody and him are catching up and enjoying each other so much. Thinking of you all and wishing you peace.

Dear Aunt Sybil, Paul, Calvin and Terry,
Gary and I are saddened to hear of Uncle Lloyd’s passing. I have fond childhood memories of summertime family visits to your farm in Richey. To a little city girl from Virginia it was a most wonderful place. I will always picture Uncle Lloyd there. Trips to Montana as an adult also made me feel connected to my relatives out there. Those feelings are shared by Gary. So again, our sincere condolences.
