In Memory Of

Louis Paben

Visitation: Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus.

Funeral services: Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Broadus.

Interment: will follow in the family lot of the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus.

Louis LeePaben, age 57, of Broadus, Montana and long time resident of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at his home in Broadus.

Louis was born in Champaign, Illinois on August 5, 1950, the son of Jerry Lee and Mary Lee (Robinson) Paben. He moved at an early age with his family to Thermopolis, Wyoming where he attended schools until his junior year of high school. He then attended Sunflower High School in Mitchell, Nebraska. He went to work in the oil field in Meeteetse, Wyoming driving truck. In January of 1970, Louis entered the United States Navy serving during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1974 and he returned to Meeteetse, Wyoming to work in the oil fields. Louis married Susan Lawler in 1971 and to this union, two boys were born, Jerald Leo and Douglas Edwin. He then moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where he worked on ranches and also worked for Big Horn REA in Basin, Wyoming as a journeyman/lineman for almost four years. It was there he met and married Tammy Alleman and became a father to her three children. He then began trucking out of Ranchester, Wyoming and moved to Casper to truck for Johnson Fuel Liners. He later moved to Gillette and worked for the oil fields and worked as a pumper. He was burnt badly in a fire so he returned to trucking which he did for over thirty years. He owned his own truck and traveled extensively across the United States being in all of the lower 48 states. It was during this time that he met and fell in love with Ann Marie Quinlan. He moved to Broadus in 2005 and began his own business, Derby Trucking, dispatched by American Transport, Sturgis, South Dakota and for a season Louis also worked for the Tisdale Creek Ranch in Gillette, Wyoming. Louis remained in Broadus until the time of his death.

Louis loved hunting, fishing and riding motorcycle.

Louis is survived by his mother, Mary Lee Busler of Liberal, KS; his sons: Jerald Paben of Glenrock, WY and Douglas Paben of Ranchester, WY; and Nicholas (Kathy) Alleman of Pinedale, WY; his daughters: Tiffany Alleman of Gillette, WY and Angela (Dale) Sander of Gillette, WY; three sisters: Tammy Casey of Ulysses, KS; Sheri Trescott of Albuquerque, NM; and Linda Busler of Connecticut; and one brother, Bobby; ten grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Broadus. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus.
