Luella Casterline Vine, age 79, of Wolf Point, Montana went to be with her Lord on May 13, 2007 at Faith Lutheran
Home in Wolf Point.She was born April 29, 1928 to Edgar and Anna (Sievers) Casterline in Wolf Point.Luella graduated from Wolf Point High School and attended Northern Montana College in Havre, Montana. She started her teaching career at Old Vida School and also taught at Wolf Creek School in new Vida, Pleasant Valley School and Southview School. She also worked at Public Drug Store for a number of years.On October 5, 1952 she married Elvin Vine in Wolf Point. There they made their home and raised their three children.Luella accepted Jesus Christ on Fathers Day (June, 1960) and went home on Mothers Day (May, 2007). She loved to roller skate in her younger years and played the accordion, guitar and piano. She loved to read her Bible, sing and talk about Jesus.Luella received a kidney transplant in October of 1997 and her kidney worked until her last breath.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Anna, and brothers, Clinton and Clayton Casterline, who died in infancy.
Luella is survived by her husband of 54 years, Elvin of Wolf Point; children, Clayton (Wilma), Naomi (Dale) Erickson, Shannon (Deb) all of Wolf Point; brother, Willard (Viona) Casterline; brother-in-laws, Delbert and Norman (Pat) Vine of Wolf Point; grandchildren, Daniel (Skye) Blessinger of Belgrade, Montana; Justin (Christina) Blessinger of Madison, South Dakota, Cody (Sheryl) Vine of Bozeman, Montana, April (Jay) Wescom of Wolf Point, Chad Erickson of Boise, Idaho, Jon Erickson of Glendive, Montana, Layla (Rex) Averill of Gillette, Wyoming, and Lauren and Shantel Vine of Wolf Point; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Jr. and Jade Blessinger of Belgrade, and Anna Blessinger ofMadison, Jessey and Shay Rankin of Gillette; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2007 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel from 8:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steven Smith officiating. Interment will take place at the Vine Family Cemetery South of Wolf Point.Please do not wear black to Luellas funeral. She loved color!
