In Memory Of

Lyle Fiechtner

Graveside Service: Monday, October 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Custer County Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. to proceed to the cemetery together.

Albert Lyle Fiechtner, age 76, of Miles City passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

Lyle was born on June 8, 1934 in Java, South Dakota to Albert and Martha (Hirsch) Fiechtner. He spent his youth growing up and attending school in Miles City, Montana. In November of 1955 he was drafted into the Army and was honorably discharged in August of 1957. Prior to his time in the service, he worked on a seismograph crew. Daphine Meidinger and Lyle were married on November 28, 1958. At this time Lyle worked at the local gas station. This was the perfect job for Lyle because he was related to half the country and the other half were his friends. He could spend hours visiting and sharing stories. In 1965 he went into the auto body repair field where he got to do his favorite job, run the wrecker. Each time the phone would ring it was a new adventure to help someone. Lyle retired in 1999 and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Lyle is survived by his wife Daphine, two daughters: Tara (John) Moorehead and Elaine (Brett) Moats; three grandchildren: Kristin Moats, Brittany Moats, and Anthony Moorehead; a brother Jack Fiechtner all of Miles City. Lyle also has numerous nieces and nephews. Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Martha Fiechtner.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Custer County Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. to proceed to the cemetery together. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
