The Great Spirit reached down, touched Lyle James Miller, 31 of Wolf Point on the shoulder and called him to his place in the spirit world on October 6, 2006. He left this world at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, MT.
Lyle James was born April 12, 1975, in Havre to Joseph Miller, Jr. and Serena Bird. Wamni Waka enjoyed cruising with his friends, hunting, fishing and working on cars, especially his truck. He was a firm believer in our traditional ways. Lyle will be missed by his family and friends now and forever. He had a big heart and an even bigger smile for everyone; he was always there with a helping hand for whatever was needed. He might be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
Lyle James is survived by his two sons, Joshua James Miller of Poplar and Christopher Jacob Miller of Billings; his father Joseph (Joyce) Miller, Jr. of Oswego; his mother Serena Bird of Wolf Point; three sisters, Winona Bryner and family of Billings, Sheila Walker and family of Havre, and Jodi Magnan and family of Poplar.
His is also survived by his grandfather Willard Miller and grandmother Rose Lilley, both of Wolf Point; aunts Carolyn Henry and Corlene Bird, both of Glendive, Jolene Miller of Poplar, and Debra Fourstar of Spokane, WA; uncles, Rodney Miller and Nelson Bird, both of Wolf Point, Amos Cloud of Poplar, and Steven Bird, Jr. of Tuba City, AZ. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends and special friend, Katherine Sun Rhodes of Poplar.
