Lynn J. Erickson, age 83, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Lynn was born in Coulee, North Dakota on May 19, 1920 the son of Edd and Lenora (Bryant) Erickson. He attended schools in North Dakota and graduated from Monterey High School in Monterey, California. Following graduation, he attended Black Hills State University until he was drafted in to the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the family farm in Coulee, North Dakota where he farmed. Lynn married Kathleen Thompsen on November 5, 1948 in Donnybrook, North Dakota. Along with farming, Lynn worked for the Grand Forks, North Dakota Airbase as a Construction Inspector, retiring in Minot, North Dakota in the early 1980s.
Lynn loved woodworking and taking care of animals. Lynn was a member of the VFW, Kooties and served on various school boards.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Kathleen Erickson of Miles City, MT; two sons: Pat Erickson of Miles City, MT; and Dr. Daniel Erickson and his wife Kim of Tacoma, WA; a daughter, Mary Notbohm and her husband Chuck of Miles City, MT; a sister, Vee Bryan of Bowbells, ND; a brother, Donald Skip Erickson and his wife Coleen of Coulee, ND; three grandchildren: Chad Notbohm and his wife Janelle, Brady Notbohm, and Kaldon Erickson; and a great grandson, Jace Notbohm. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Howard, Everett, William and Dail; and his sisters: Winnie, Dorothy, and Mary.
