In Memory Of

Lynne Breitbach, age 65, of Circle, MT

August 5, 1948 – December 7, 2013

Lynne (Ramona) Breitbach (Amundson) passed away peacefully at the age of 65 at her farm outside of Circle, Montana on December 7th, 2013. She was born in Glasgow, Montana on August 5, 1948 to Alan and Maxine Amundson, the second of six children and the only girl. She grew up in various places around Montana, Glasgow, Basin, Butte, and Fairview. Many tales have been told of these formative years she spent with her brothers. In Fairview, she married and started a family with Jay Deming (deceased). Lynne divorced from Jay. She moved to California and back to Montana, finally settling in Circle, where she met Patrick Breitbach. They married in 1980.

Lynne was the kind of person you couldn’t miss in a crowd. She was hilarious, sweet, kind-hearted and a true gem. Her heart was so big; she had room in it for everyone she met. Everyone remembers her easy-going way, her skilled story-telling, and her quick wit.

She sparkled as a host for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve parties. Camping will never be the same without her guidance and expertise. She was an avid reader who would read several books a week, a trait which she imparted to all three of her children along with the love of all forms of narrative.

She touched many lives. Among those who will miss Lynne were the innumerable people, old and young, who regarded her as a source of unconditional love and whom she treated as though they were her own.

She is survived by her loving husband Patrick Breitbach, her children Jodi Mason, Jaymes Breitbach and Amber Breitbach, her grandson Morgan Mason and her granddaughter Alora Mason, and her great-great grandchildren Rylee Wiggins, Ryan Wiggins, Ryder Wiggins, Serephina Bailey, and OIivia Mason. Lynne is also survived by her brothers, Norman, Richard, Miles, Will, and Kevin Amundson. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Nicolette Mason.

Thanks to all those who have supported Lynne in her struggles with her health and all those who have expressed comfort to the family during this time of grief. It is greatly appreciated.

“I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.” Mother Teresa

    My sincere condolences to the family of Lynne Breitbach – May you find comfort in your loving memories, beautiful pictures and in recalling the many talents of Mrs. Breitbach. God has promised that a time will come when no one will say “I am sick” (Isaiah 24:33). In the Bible book of Genesis, we notice that God intended for mankind to live in perfect conditions in the Garden of Eden, which was a paradise where everything was “very good” (Genesis 1:31). Suffering and death were not a part of God’s purpose but was introduced through Adam’s disobedience (Romans 5:12). The Bible promises a resurrection of dear family members and friends that we have lost (John 5:28, 29). The Paradise that was originally promised for the earth in the Garden of Eden will be fulfilled. It is hoped that you are comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).

    Pat and family,

    Although time and distance separated us, my love for Lynne never waned. Lynne was accepting without judgment, forgiving without doubt, living without fear and loving without hesitation. The physical world has lost a part of what makes it special but she will be waiting for everyone with open arms and a hearty laugh.

    Life is eternal, and love is immortal,
    and death is only a horizon;
    and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
