She was born in Eagle Butte SD on December 17, 1919. She was a homemaker and enjoyed interacting with her friends and members of her church. She also enjoyed nurturing her flowers and plants. She was the daughter of Kasper and Catherine (Steckler) Wanner, who lived in Richardton ND for many years. Madeline was the eldest in the family of eleven children, with ten younger brothers. Madeline's mother died when Madeline was in her late teens, and she assisted in raising her ten younger brothers. Her father later married Anna (Gombas) Wanner, who was a wonderful stepmother to Madeline. After leaving high school, Madeline moved to St Louis MI, where she was employed as a clerk in a business office. Later she moved to Portland OR, where she met her husband, Paul Biegalke. After her marriage to Paul on March 29, 1948, she moved to the family farm at Chester MT. They later moved to Miles City MT in 1951, where they farmed and ranched.

Madeline was a very devoted worshiper, with a deep spiritual faith in God. She spent countless hours reading and studying scriptures, and dedicating her time to her church, The Break Forth Bible Church. Madeline guided numerous bible studies. Madeline spent one year in Cleveland, Tennessee attending New Life Bible School, to enrich her Christian beliefs. She enjoyed traveling, crochet, playing piano and listening to Christian music. She attended Christian Womens Luncheons and was a member of the local birthday club. Madeline was an avid walker, and provided spiritual support to nursing home residents.

Madeline is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Biegalke; two sons, Gary and Paul Eric; one daughter, Dorinda; her parents: Kasper and Catherine (Steckler) Wanner and her stepmother Anna (Gombas) Wanner: six brothers: Kasper Wanner Jr, John Wanner, Herman Wanner, Raphael Wanner, Daniel Wanner and Joseph Wanner.
