I have the fondest memories of Margaret; she was so sweet and kind to me at a time in my life when I needed it the most. I have often thought of her over the years and I never forgot the impact that she had on me as a teenager. You can’t help but love someone who thought so much of you! I’m sorry, Blum family, for your loss. She was truly a treasure.

Dear Family of Margaret A. Blum – My sincere condolences to your family. Certainly Mrs. Blum was loved and her life touched many people. Her life was also valued by the Creator who recorded in the Bible book of Hebrews where it was stated that God does not forget all of the love and fine works shown by his servants (Heb 6:10). It was not God’s purpose that mankind suffer and die. At creation God was able to say that everything was “very good” (Gen 1:31) Death was introduced through Adam’s disobedience (Romans 5:12). Our loving Creator has promised to soon “swallow up death forever…and wipe the tears from all faces” (Isaiah 25:8) and soon pain and death with be no more (Revelation 21:4). The Paradise that was originally promised for the earth in the Garden of Eden will be fulfilled. Please be comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).

Dear Blum Family,
I just saw this obituary when I was checking the Stevenson & Sons site for Molly Randall’s. I am so sorry to hear of Margaret’s passing. She was a vital part of a secure and loving family of Presbyterians and PEO’s for us Mathers Girls. I will miss knowing that she is a part of the world. I’m not sure what our wonderful and Creative God has for us in the afterlife. But oh, I hope that somehow our parents are having a grand reunion, don’t you?
Mimi Mathers Meredith says
Dear Blum Family,
Margaret was at the core of everything I believe in when I hear the phrase “It takes a Village to Raise A Child.” I am so grateful she was an instrumental part of the Village that raised me. From the church to school and the community, she was a steadfast advocate of me, and I am so very thankful for that.
With love,
Mimi

I hear Margaret’s laugh as she told me stories about the early years when she, Boyd, and my parents first met. I just imagine them squaredancing in heaven. She was my link to my mother, and to goodness. My thoughts of our good lives along with my prayers go out to all of you. Libby

I love looking at the photo of Margaret on this page. Her beautiful face always brought me a most wonderful sense of peace and security. She and Boyd are a part of my earliest childhood memories clear through to the days I visited church as an adult. What steadfast people we have known in Miles City ~ and they were among the best. As we go through the “treasures” belonging to my parents, often in the notes Mother wrote in the side of a calendar or a notebook or a Bible study, there is Margaret Blum’s name. They will be with us always.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Margaret’s family; I know she will missed not only by her family, but by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her, taking care of her, and her allowing us to be part of her life. I was always taken back by her caring for others and her wonderful stories of her life. She will always be a special “Lady” in my memories and I will always value the time I was allowed to be part of her days here on earth. I know she is watching over all of us and that she and Boyd are having a wonderful time now that they’ve been reunited. She spoke often of missing him so, and now they are back together; and having the time of their lives I’m sure. I wish both of them much happiness.

If I remember correctly, Margaret was my father’s secretary at the Midland Lumber Company way back in 1949 and the early 50’s My dad, George Raymond, always spoke so highly of her skills and of her in general as a person. When I read the obituary in the paper, the name jumped out at me. I think I have the right person. May she rest in peace.
