Margaret “Margi” M. French passed away at the McCone County Health Center on November 25, 2016 with her husband by her side.
Margaret Mary Inman was born to Donna (Pierce) and Earl (Pudd) Inman on November 12, 1955 in Miles City, MT. In Margi’s younger years she attended grade school in Terry, MT. When she was twelve she moved to Brockway with Donna & her younger sister Moni.
While in Brockway she helped her mom at Jimmy George’s Café. She also helped Bob & Marge Moore with babysitting. Donna moved back to Terry while Margi stayed in Brockway and lived with Maybelle Steel and attended Circle High School.
Margi met Wayne French in 1966 when she first moved to Brockway. They started dating and were married on August 23, 1974. To this union they had two children Michele Dawn (Mickolio) in 1975 and Jason Edward was born in 1978. Together the family made their home in Circle and during this time Margi had many cooking jobs. She worked at the Travelers Inn for six years. Then she worked at the Wooden Nickel and JJ’s Bar n Grill for seven years combined.
Her family moved to Brockway in 1982 where she ran the Brockway Bar from 1985 until 2001. After that she cooked at Kay’s Diner until it closed, but continued to help Kay with her catering endeavors. Margi also did some janitorial work before she retired.
Margi was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of VFW Post #4813, and for many years she carried that Flag proudly in parades. Margi had a passion for cooking and helping people. She was a very hardworking, empathetic, kind hearted Angel. She was simply an amazing woman.
Those who were blessed to have known Margi now have visions of her with her Golden Wings that she earned during her time here on earth. More than likely Margi has probably cooked a meal or two for most of you in this room and has probably touched your heart in some way. Her impact will be with us always. Margi’s selfless acts of kindness will be cherished.
Margi has been described as a spark, a bright spot in our lives. This is an understatement. She was a diamond, a beacon, and a light house for many. Her love of Light Houses is now understood. Margi was simply an amazing person and will be greatly missed!
Margi was preceded in death by her mother, Donna (Pierce) Inman Everts; her brothers, Roger & Tim Inman and step-mother, Peggy (Martinson) Inman. She is survived by her father Earl Inman of Ballantine, MT; her husband, Wayne French of Brockway, MT; two children, Jason French of Brockway, MT, and Michele (Jason) Mickolio of Miles City, MT, two grandchildren, Ashlee D. Mickolio and Adynn I. Mickolio; two sisters, Kathy McNeil of Littleton, CO and Moni Thomsen of Ballantine, MT.

My heart is aching for you at the loss of Margi. She was a big part of my life growing up in Brockway.
I remember the fun times we had at her and Moni’s place by the store. Climbing the roof of that building, on a 3-sided antenna, just so we could sunbathe. Throwing water balloons off the roof of the Brockway Bar on Halloween.
I will always treasure the memories.
May God Bless.

I will always remember each time I think about times in Terry and Brockway. May God Bless You.
Moni, I wish I could be there today; but circumstances won’t allow. Margi, was a friend, that I won’t forget. I thank the Lord for giving me the honor of her friendship. Hugs and Prayers.
