In Memory Of

Marguerite Wilson

Memorial service: Wednesday, May 5th at 1 PM at the Evangelical Covenant Church located at 800 N. Hoback,

HelenaMarguerite L. Wilson passed away at St. Peters hospital on April 12, 2010, three days after her 89th birthday.

Marguerite was born April 9,1921in Roundup, Montana to George A. and Cleo F. Lewis. The first of 5 children, the family later moved to Miles City where she attended school through the first year of junior college. During her school years she was active in band, piano, and was a cheerleader at Custer County Jr. College. After moving to Helena, Marguerite worked in the office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. For the next 13 years, in the 1960s and early 1970s, she was a Probation Officer for Lewis & Clark County. In addition to being a probation officer, she helped place children in Twin Bridges and Yellowstone Boy's Ranch, and provided counseling for children at risk.

Marguerite attended the Little Church, and the Evangelical Covenant Church, where she often was the Sunday organist and pianist. She chaired the missionary women's group for the Covenant Church, and taught adult Sunday school in the Little Church. Marguerites hobbies included playing and teaching piano, crocheting, cooking, and, her favorite, making and collecting porcelain and ceramic dolls. She was an active member of China Painters.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Wilson; her parents, George and Cleo Lewis; sister, Phyllis Smith; and, brother, Dave Lewis.

She is survived by her brother, Paul (Jackie) Lewis, of Santa Fe, N.M.; sister, Joanne Lund, of Billings; and sons, John (Marilyn) Nicolay, Arlington, Texas; Paul R. Nicolay, Helena; and Phillip (Cecilia) Nicolay, Helena. Marguerite had ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

A memorial service in her honor will be held Wednesday, May 5th at 1 PM at the Evangelical Covenant Church located at 800 N. Hoback, Helena. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the charity of the donors choice. Condolences may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com.
